C and I went to a Redwings game last night, and we won 5-3 breaking a 2 game losing streak. I think we need to go to more home games to help keep them in 1st place.

We are now #1 in the points standing ahead of even Ottawa. Keep losing guys.

Keep in mind that Detroit is only one point ahead of Ottawa, yet the Senators (is that a lame name for a team or what?; at least ours has developed a sexual connotation) have played two fewer games.
The Leafs (also a lame team name, and spelled incorrectly to boot; maybe in Canada they pluralize differently) still suck.

They arere named after a WWI regiment. Since the proper name of the group is “Maple Leaf Regiment”, Leafs, not Leaves would be grammatically correct.

btw, you obviously are oblivious to our history. Way to play up the stereotype. Canada was the only country to successfully complete all D-Day objectives. Try reading up a bit first.
