I watched a dog get hit by a car last night. It was one of the most horrible things I’ve ever seen. The asshole who hit it took off as soon as it happened, leaving the poor dog with broken back legs to where it couldnt even drag itself off the road. We stopped, threw the hazards on and left the car in front of it so no one would just hit it again. Who the fuck do you call when something like this happens? There’s no 911 for animals and no one stopped to help. I ended up calling 911 to get a cop out since the dog was seriously hurt and wasnt letting me get too close. Once the cop showed up we were able to take a mat from our car and coax the dog onto it to carry it to the side of the road. Animal control was called but they were in no hurry to get there. The dog had no tags but was a well groomed decently sized Terrier of some kind, so it must have been someone’s pet. With the condition the dog was in, I wouldn’t be suprised if it were just put down to stop it’s suffering since there were no tags to ID it.
Fucking sad, and what kind of asshole just takes off when you hit something like that. The guy had to know he nailed it head on.

Who decided to make all cellphones geigh flip-phones now? I hate flip phones. All I want is a cool looking NON-flip phone with a camera & bluetooth. But nooooooOOOOooooo, everything has been ‘bling-ized’ beyond recognition into some honestly ugly-ass beast.
Put my 3 weeks notice in at my job today – supervisor was cool about it and honestly was kind of expecting it. He’ll be announcing it at our staff meeting tomorrow so it will be interesting to see the reaction that gets.
Spent the evening scanning some old photos I had from a few years ago and reminiscing.
My kitty has been sad I’ve been gone so much so I played with his feather toy for 20mins or so. He always looks so happy to get his picture taken (don’t let him fool you – he hates it!).
I was supposed to study this evening and haven’t done any. Dammit!
I just checked my voicemail after I shut my phone off last night and had a fun message. Apparently my phone called a friend of mine while it was in my pocket last night. Mike then had a 30 second conversation with my pants pocket. Hopefully it didnt say anything too embarassing…
In the week since I’ve blogged I applied for a job, interviewed for said job, was offered the job, and accepted. It’s pretty whacky how fast this happened. The new company I’ll be working for is Becker Orthopedic in Troy (<4mi from where my fiance` works, yay =D ). It looks to be a good place for me to get some real experiance in from the bottom up in redesigning their network infrastructure. They have an NT4 domain, and all of their satellite offices are stand alone. I’ll get busy with some 2003 AD up in that shiz.
After 6 or 7 years now of the I-have-no-dental-insurance-so-I-hope-by-brushing-my teeth-sporadically-I-won’t-get-any-cavities dental plan, I think it’s about damn time I start abusing the benefits I do have with my government job. I’m paying all this $ in I might as well try to get some of it back.
I was sent this article this morning and I’m upset. With the frequency i make the drive down the I-96 corridor I should have seen these before a reporter from the Detroit Free Press. And now the Michigan Department of Transportation has taken all of these art pieces down. =(
Is it bad I want to download the entire internet? Obscure B-side limited release remix mp3 of a track I already have 4 copies of? Link me up! I know I have a problem but I can’t stop. Is this a product of the digital age and my desire to backup a history of electronic music for when I am older and it’s considered “oldies”, or is it simply a case of obcessive compulsive disorder to the extreme?
Who cares I just found another torrent for a previously unreleased version of a song that is totally different from the album version but not even as good. Time to fire up Azureus!
