Only in Detroit could you possibly turn on the radio for a Friday morning “Eggs ‘n Grits” ghetto booty DJ set for the morning commute drive. Oddly enough, it started my day off very good.

President George W. Bush:
“See, in my line of work you got to keep repeating things over and over and over again for the truth to sink in, to kind of catapult the propaganda.”
(Applause)
Joseph Goebbles, Hitler’s Minister of Propaganda:
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

I’m in Detroit now and working a new job. For some reason or another over the past 2 weeks I lost track of my blog. Oops. I’ll update tomorrow.
I’ve helped to pioneer a new trend at work. Thursday is the new casual Friday, and Friday is the new & improved more casual Friday. Just an observation…
How quickly time slips by. I had intended to post this past weekend about how fucking amazing my Friday night ended up being even after the uber-depressing car-hit-dog-incident, so I might as well do that now. Went down to Oslo in Detroit this weekend to see Miss Kitten spin. Oslo just so happens to be the ONLY cool hipster jaded oldskewler electronic music venue in the city, which is suprising considering the roots of techno are so strongly tied to Detroit.
Anyway, between watching her play & listening to her music selection I was reminded as to why I have always been attacted to electronic music. Electronic music in general is very interesting to me in how it manages to invoke or create emotion from such a non-emotional digital medium. Almost every track she played made me want to move and/or cry from elation. Not only did she play good stuff, but she rocked out doing it. It was great to watch someone else enjoying electronic music as much as I do.
