I Still can’t Stand Bush

President George W. Bush:
“See, in my line of work you got to keep repeating things over and over and over again for the truth to sink in, to kind of catapult the propaganda.”
(Applause)

Joseph Goebbles, Hitler’s Minister of Propaganda:
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

Should any political party attempt to abolish social security, unemployment insurance, and eliminate labor laws and farm programs, you would not hear of that party again in our political history. There is a tiny splinter group, of course, that believes that you can do these things. Among them are a few Texas oil millionaires, and an occasional politician or businessman from other areas. Their number is negligible and they are stupid.

This reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where Jerry tries to convince the lady sergeant that he doesnt watch Melrose Place and she makes him take a polygraph. George’s advice to Jerry before taking the polygraph is “ITS NOT A LIE IF YOU BELIEVE ITS TRUE”

    lol
