C and I went to a Redwings game last night, and we won 5-3 breaking a 2 game losing streak. I think we need to go to more home games to help keep them in 1st place.

Keep in mind that Detroit is only one point ahead of Ottawa, yet the Senators (is that a lame name for a team or what?; at least ours has developed a sexual connotation) have played two fewer games.
The Leafs (also a lame team name, and spelled incorrectly to boot; maybe in Canada they pluralize differently) still suck.

They arere named after a WWI regiment. Since the proper name of the group is “Maple Leaf Regiment”, Leafs, not Leaves would be grammatically correct.
