There is hope in the tainted pet food debacle

I got a letter in the mail yesterday from a claims adjuster for Iams.

Pet Food Claim Letter

It already starts off on the wrong foot as it says they tried to contact me (which they didn’t), and if I don’t respond to the letter within 30 days my claim will be voided. Man I wish I had a lawyer friend…

Have you seen me?

Drivers LicenseI realized Saturday when I went to buy some booze that I lost my license at some point during the Ferndale Bar Crawl Friday night. I had a great time and visited 9 bars in the 4 hours we were out and about. Probably TOO good of a time if I lost my license.

I was hoping some good samaritan or bar owner would return it to me since my address is on it and all, but no dice. Hopefully I won’t get a visit from Homeland Security because someone used my photo ID to go to the casino in Windsor and drink underage or something.

So after driving around for 3 days illegally I had to go down to the Secretary of State’s office. An hour later I had a piece of paper that said I could drive again, but I still don’t have a photo ID for 2-4 weeks. Good thing the guys at the liquor store down the street recognize me!

Happy System Administrator Day!

July 27th, 2007 (Last Friday Of July)
8th Annual System Administrator Appreciation Day

[source]

Friday, July 27th, 2007, is the 8th annual System Administrator Appreciation Day. On this special international day, give your System Administrator something that shows that you truly appreciate their hard work and dedication.

Let’s face it, System Administrators get no respect 364 days a year. This is the day that all fellow System Administrators across the globe, will be showered with expensive sports cars and large piles of cash in appreciation of their diligent work. But seriously, we are asking for a nice token gift and some public acknowledgement. It’s the least you could do.

Consider all the daunting tasks and long hours (weekends too.) Let’s be honest, sometimes we don’t know our System Administrators as well as they know us. Remember this is one day to recognize your System Administrator for their workplace contributions and to promote professional excellence. Thank them for all the things they do for you and your business.

No surprise, my users didn’t get me anything except more trouble calls. Typical.

This thread is useless without photos

My 4 tomato plants have magically turned into 7. Miracle Grow is making them explode. Anyone want tomatoes in about a week?

My tomatoes are going to be GIGANTIC!

I used my new burger patty maker. Look at the perfectly formed burgers. I know you’re jealous.

As always, Monty is more upset we’re taking photos instead of playing.

Monty upset we’re taking pictures and not playing.

Give me your photos

I’ve uploaded all the photos that I’ve gotten so far from the wedding, as well as the photos we took on our honeymoon.

I have seen many photos posted on some of the social networking sites like facebook & myspace, so I’ll try to grab some of those and add them here so there is one central location for everyone to view them. If you want to help me out by sending me all of the photos YOU took, please give me a call or drop me an email so we can work something out.

We’re still waiting on the photos from the photographer so hang tight…

New Hosting

Apparently the site has been down for a few weeks. Of course my hosting would go down while C and I were on our honeymoon. Never fails… Anyway I’ve restored the site from a backup I made just before we left, so anything posted after June 27th is gone for good.

Sheppard over at truehosting.ca hooked me up so if anyone needs hosting of their own, this is the place to talk to.

I’m in the process of getting everything back up, including wedding & honeymoon photos, so stay tuned.

The Cabbage Diet Recap

I stopped the live updates from the Cabbage Diet Day 2 because a) it was all starting to sound the same, and b) I had a near death experience from the lack of food. I cracked on the 1st full day and ate a salad WITH DRESSSING!

Cabbage Diet

Day 3 dawned full of the prospect of milk & bananas all day, plus the super extra tasty awesome cabbage soup I made. Hell yeah! I cracked by noon and had a Panera sandwich. When I got home at 7pm, Christa was also done with the whole thing. So what would any diet-crazed half-starved human being do? We had Taco Bell.

How do you spell Cabbage Diet?

Christa said she lost 3 pounds by Thursday. I managed to gain 1.
Never again.
