No no no! First you get the mushroom and THEN you stomp on the Goombas!!

I don’t know if anyone has thought of this yet, but I at least wanted to work it through in my mind before the thought got lost again…
A month or so ago after Katrina, Bush repealed one of the clean gas requirements to open up the market to some of the gas without the additives or whatever to help it burn cleaner. Now that gas prices are on the fall again I havent heard anyone talking about re-enacting these requirements. Is this another instance of Bush thumbing his nose at environmentalists by using a “national crisis” (jesus soccer moms if you would stop driving 100mi/day in your SUV it wouldn’t be a national crisis now would it?!) to move further away from the ideals of the Kyoto Protocol. Of all the countries of the world the US is one of only 2 nations to sign but decline ratifying the document.
Maybe I’m just being paranoid and rambling, but I think something smells fishy about the situation anyway.
I stumbled across an initiative in the county I live in to develop a county wide wireless internet blanket, and here’s the kicker; it’s free.
It’s still in the development/feasability testing phase, but this might be one of the coolest things I’ve heard coming out of Detroit in a long time.
Apparently the state legislature is getting involved on the urging of the large telco’s trying to block the move. Here’s to hoping I can drop my ComSUCKtastic cable soon…
…and I’m feeling pretty MEH.
You know the feeling…
I got a raise last week since my 3 month “probationary period” was up at work. In principle this sounds great. In reality it does nothing for my life.
Due to my obcessive/compulsive tendencies, I have already worked out it’s exact difference in my budget.
$60 every 2 weeks
$120 every month
With gas prices up higher every week, mortgage payments, credit card interest, college loans in repayment, a cat that likes to eat (a lot), and a stomache that also likes to eat (a lot), I’m really not makin out any better than I was.

People always ask me what I did all day at work. I don’t think they’d really understand it even if I was able to explain it…
Found an older pic of Bailey sleeping in the drier.
I read some advice on how to overcome procrastination online today and was going to start to use some of the suggestions in my day-to-day routine, but maybe tomorrow I’ll start instead.
I was woken up this morning by contruction workers putting in a new drive way next door at 8am. Which wouldn’t have been so bad if a) i wasn’t hungover and b) the driveway is maybe 15ft from my bed. OK fine. So I walk downstairs all bleary eyed coffee in hand to bumble around on the internet all morning (wtf would I do without it?!) when i feel something squishy and wet between my toes. Bailey left a nice morning kitty suprise on the floor for me, yay!
And wouldn’t you know it, someone beat me to the (rather sick & twisted) idea for a website.

God I love the internet!
It would take 204.75 cans of Mountain Dew to kill me. The good news is I’ve only had 200 cans or so today. Give or take.
